Scouting’s youth-development programs have four aims:

  1. Character Development
  2. Citizenship
  3. Personal Fitness
  4. Leadership

Through age-appropriate programs the Boy Scouts of America prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
